HIRING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
For abbreviation The Little Big Company shall be referred to as TLBC herein. These terms and conditions shall be the only terms and conditions on which TLBC will provide the goods and or services to the Hirer.
These Terms are deemed to be accepted by the Hirer on payment of a booking deposit, on receipt by TLBC. The Terms apply exclusively to every contract for the hire of goods and supply of services by the Hirer from TLBC and cannot be varied or supplanted by any other terms without the prior written consent of TLBC.
A written quote provided by TLBC to the Hirer regarding the proposed hire of goods is valid for 7 days of issue date and is an invitation only to the Customer to place an order based upon that quote. Any terms in TLBC’s quote form part of the Terms of the Contract and if inconsistent will prevail.
If an order placed by the Customer is accepted by TLBC, TLBC agrees to hire the goods to the Hirer for the Hire Period for use at the Site on these Terms.
Goods hired shall at all times remain the property of TLBC.
TO HIRE, add product to your shopping cart, when all products have been added go to shopping cart button in top right of web page. When the page is open select the button "CREATE QUOTE FROM CART". Fill in all details on the page including address and phone number. Once done click the Button at the bottom of the screen"CONFIRM & PROCESS QUOTE". Please note our minimum hire fee for client pickup & return bookings is $50. For bookings where the client requires TLBC to deliver & pickup, the minimum hire fee is $200 not including transport fees. Hire prices quoted are for a 3-Day hire period. All prices include GST and service charges unless otherwise stated.
Once you have found the pieces you would love to use for your event, add them to your cart, go to the checkout area and select the QUOTE button, then send. Please add in any further information which will aid the quote, including; if delivery is required and if other items from the online store are required within the quote. A custom quote will be prepared and emailed to you for review, along with terms and conditions of hire. Hire rates are based on a maximum three day period. A deposit of 50% of the total hire cost is required within 7 days of your quote to secure your hired items. Final payment is due 2 weeks prior to your event.
Any item removal or deductions from invoice must be determined at least 4 weeks prior to the hire date. Variations made within 4 weeks will incur the hire charge. Additions can be made at any time and are subject to availability.
Deposits are non-refundable, transferrable and cannot be exchanged for a credit note.
If order placed less than 7 days from event date, then payment in full is required within 24 hours from invoice issue date.
Variation and Cancellation
If through circumstances beyond the control of TLBC, TLBC is unable to provide goods, then TLBC may:
- Make changes to the goods provided that the end performance is not materially prejudiced; or
- Cancel any order (even if it has already been accepted) by notice in writing.
The Hirer may cancel an order but will forfeit all booking deposits. For orders cancelled 14 days prior to the event date, the balance of the invoiced fee is due in full.
Delivery and Pickup
Delivery is offered wherever possible, however may be difficult during peak hours or season: therefore Pick up from our shop is recommended. Pick up directly reduces costs significantly.
Delivery and Collection can be arranged during business hours and fees start from $150. When quoting a delivery fee please consider: venue location; accessibility; number of items required; scheduled time of delivery; Public Holidays; Delivery to higher than ground level. Charges apply if TLBC are required to unpack, set up, repack and clean the hire goods.
Upon completion of the hiring, the equipment must be properly cleaned by the hirer. It is agreed that the whole or part of the cost incurred by TLBC arising out of the failure by the hirer under this clause may be deducted from the bond.
If items are returned unclean, a cleaning fee of $40 will be charged and deducted from the bond or charged from credit card.
The Hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to the equipment for any reason whatsoever except loss or damage which is caused by reasonable wear and tear. It is agreed that upon the completion of the hire period, any replacement or repair cost of the equipment will be deducted from the bond or paid in full to the delivery driver upon item collection.
